Craig prepares for Albert Herring with Maryland Opera Studio

A graduate of SUNY Fredonia in New York City, Kier currently spends most of his time working with the Houston Grand Opera and the Houston Ballet. Recently, he’s been frequently making the trip to and from College Park to work with the Maryland Opera Studio students. "I’ve actually been there several times,” Kier said. “We spent the first week coaching it musically and putting all of the ensembles together ... Rounding out his 2012/13 season Mr. Kier returns to the internationally acclaimed Santa Fe Opera Festival to serve as assisant conductor for Rossini's La donna del lago starring

Craig Kier Announces 2013/14 Season
In the 2013/14 season Craig will make his conducting debut with Lyric Opera of Kansas City conducting La bohème. Mr. Kier travels to Oman with Glimmerglass Opera to make his conducting debut at the famed Royal Opera House in the capital city of Muscat. He will lead performances of The Music Man.
JULY & AUG 2012:
Craig Kier Debuts with Glimmerglass
Mr. Kier debuts as a guest artist at the Glimmerglass Festival this Summer, serving as the Assistant Conductor for 'Lost in the Stars' and The Music Man. He then returns to his conducting duties with Houston Grand Opera for an exciting 2012/13 Season.
